The King’s Coronation
The 6 May 2023 saw the historic event of the Coronation of King Charles III and one of Girlguiding Newcastle Guides had the honour of being invited.
Anna Howell, guide at 81st Newcastle Guides, was invited to attend the King’s Coronation. Anna is part of Girlguiding’s Amplify steer group, who you can find out more about here – Our youth steering group, Amplify | Girlguiding.
Travelling down Friday, the group stayed over in London, ready for an early start on the Saturday morning. The group were invited to watch a private viewing of the service at Westminster Abbey then took to the street to watch the parade.
A lifetime experience whilst representing Girlguiding and Girlguiding Newcastle.
