Can you spare some time to help out with Girlguiding in Newcastle upon Tyne?

 

Volunteers can be involved in the running of a Rainbow, Brownie, Guide or Senior Section Unit.  Across Newcastle, girls are waiting to join Units due a shortage of volunteers.  An extra volunteer regularly working with a Unit can enable us to take five or more extra girls from the waiting list. Working with the girls can be very rewarding and many of our volunteers use the experience gained to further work in the teaching or caring professions.   Full training is available in addition to a wide range of support.  Contact us to find out more about the different roles available. Volunteers working with girls are subject to satisfactory references and CRB clearance.

 

Or why not take the "12-hour challenge" and give 12 hours each year to Girlguiding Newcastle?  This could be secretarial support to our committees, you might lend a hand with fundraising, help out with DIY or decorating, take a one-off session for local units teaching the girls skills from pilates to gardening to science, or share another skill.
