All acoss our area Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section and Leaders have been getting together to celebrate the start of our centenary year.

Girls from North West and Newburn Divisions joined together for a fantastic Centenary Launch party at Newburn Leisure Centre.  Centenary Bear welcomed everyone to an afternoon of trampolining, climbing, crafts, face-painting and team challenges.  Brownies and Guides particularly enjoyed the boating sessions, and in the best party tradition, everyone went home with a goodie bag of Centenary treats.

Heaton and Walker District took to the water with a boat trip down the Tyne from the Quayside to Tynemouth. A highlight of the trip was when the Millenium Bridge opened especially to let the boat, which was flying the trefoil flag, pass underneath.

North Division celebrated with a busy activity day at Broadway East First School. Sessions for Rainbows, Brownies and Guides included crafts, sports, team building, pampering and drama.

In-keeping with the Centenary theme, the Trefoil Guild also helped out with old-fashioned Guide activities and past uniforms for dressing up in.
